Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client Install Error

When installing my Cisco VPN Client (5.0.05) software on a new laptop, I get an error 1722 Error 1722: There is a problem with this Wi.

Hope this helps. Do you have the Cisco IPSec client also installed on your computer? What version of Anyconnect NAM and Windows OS? Has the DART logs given any clues? I see about three TAC cases on that very issue but in each ticket the customer resolved it on their own so there was no good information. But the one ticket seemed to point to the registry fix per this Tech Zone Article here below.

After upgrade to Windows 10 I want to install the supported version of Anyconnect but this failed. I receive the error: 'The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.' 'Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Winsetup-Release-web-deploy.mis' in the box below.' I am running the installation as Administrator, the installation file is on my local C: drive. I guess that the removal of the old version was incomplete and that the new installation is trying to remove files and/or registry settings but is missing an uninstallation file.

If this fails, you might see this error: That particular error may occur if IE 8 or 9 is in Protected Mode. On how to add Trusted Sites if you are running IE in protected mode. You will have to add ipsec1.vpn.gatech.edu and ipsec2.vpn.gatech.edu as trusted sites. In theory you will see this screen next while the ActiveX install times out.

In theory you will see this screen next while the ActiveX install times out. At this point you can choose to skip to a Java installation, or go ahead and click on Download. If both the ActiveX and Java install fail, or you have clicked on the Download button, you will get this page which has a link to manually install the software. Click on that to proceed.

There are issues when you download the AnyConnect for MAC software from Cisco.com. Open the home page and click on ( customers only) on the right hand side of the web page. Choose the required software package and download with valid Cisco user credentials.

When i try to install NAM, i get an error that it ended prematurely. It also breaks my wireless networking to where i can no longer connect to, nor see, any network. Uninstalling does not fix it. I have installed it fine on other machines, its only this one, and of course the one i need it to work on, that fails.

Note: You need to have valid Cisco user credentials to contact Cisco TAC. Currently, the NAM module on the AnyConnect 3.0 product replaces the Cisco Secure Services Client (CSSC).

When AnyConnect 2.3 is launched from an Apple MAC machine, the Anyconnect Package corrupt or unavailable error message appears and eventually, the connection attempt fails. This can be a problem with the absence of the MAC-related AnyConnect package on the flash of the router. Upload the suitable AnyConnect package for MAC in order to resolve this issue. Upload the corresponding AnyConnect package, which depends upon the MAC architecture. For MACs on the Intel processor, you need the i386 macos image and for MACs that run the Power PC processor (PPC) you need the powerpc macos image. These are example packages for your reference: • anyconnect-macosx-i386-2.5.3055-k9.pkg • anyconnect-macosx-powerpc-2.5.3055-k9.pkg When split DNS is enabled on an AnyConnect setup, it is found that all the DNS queries are sent in clear but not tunneled.

But the one ticket seemed to point to the registry fix per this Tech Zone Article here below. Could this be what you may be experiencing? We have also seen in the Anyconnect 3.0 NAM module alone randomly fails to install when the AC package is installed using the Microsoft SCCM tool. All other AC modules(VPN, Web security, DART) install without any failures but the NAM randomly fails to install on different machines. A manual install of the NAM module is successful on that machine though. But in this instance the failed install does not produce any error messages and just hangs at installation thus providing no way of determining if the installation is successful or not. So that seems different to what you are seeing.
